Shape
Shape is the relationship between parts of an outfit that the eye reads as one whole: jacket length against leg, shoulder width against waist. No single garment owns it.
What to notice
Start at the endpoint: where does the outer layer end? Then ask what makes everything beneath read longer or shorter.

- MakingMaking is the construction inside a garment: padding, seams, shoulder slope. A silhouette that looks “natural” is engineered to look that way.
